How much time should be normal for one to be chargetime Razr phone?

My phone, a Razr recently stopped holding a load of more than eight hours at a time. I received two new batteries, which is brand new and demonic, and the other was used, but should work correctly. But are not. And before I'll buy a new phone, I make sure I do everything right.
